Claire Elise Bocher,/bu:'SeI/boo-SHAY born on March 17, 1988. Her stage name is Grimes. Her range of her earlier music is described as "lo hi R&B" and "futuristic dance-pop". She has also used elements from hip-hop electronic, rock and hip hop. A lot of her songs touch upon science fiction themes as well as feminist issues. There have been five albums. The singer was born and raised in Vancouver (later relocated to Montreal), Grimes began making music for herself during the latter half of 2000 and released two albums, Geidi Primes and Halfaxa from 2010 via Arbutus Records. After the signing of 4AD her popularity grew with fame with Visions, her 3rd studio album. Visions includes the singles "Genesis" as well as "Oblivion" and won the Canadian industry's Juno Award for Electronic Album of the year. The album that she released as her fourth studio effort Art Angels was released in 2015. The album was praised from critics and many magazines voted it to be the top album of the year. In the year 2020, she released Miss Anthropocene (her fifth studio album). Grimes was also an actor and judge on Alter Ego's competitions for music, played a part as an actress for Cyberpunk 2077 which was released 2020. Georges Georges Georges
